Here is a good summary of Spiral Dynamics. Use of the SP paradigm aids discussion of most topics I have attempted. As a developmental psychologist I recognize the futility of trying to discuss anything human (basically) without being grounded in a solid developmental perspective.

Addressing Our Problems Head-on

It needs to be all about solving problems. We cannot wait any longer to seek real solutions to our ails. I may not agree with everything Pres. Obama is doing but I admire the man for digging into hard problems and seeking solutions.

Obama's Global Op-Ed

Pres. Obama's internationally directed editorial. Explains his view of how America will try to lead itself and the rest of the world out of recession. I wonder if he came across a bit condescending about the issue of who will lead the world.

Move over Moral Majority, it's time for the Wise Majority!

I was excited to hear the discussion the other morning on Morning Joe (MSNBC). Everyone was talking hope and an increase in wisdom. What we stand to gain by the current hardships was reviewed, and needed changes explored.

No more time to waste!

It is time to start truly solving problems. As a nation we cannot waste any further time before we begin to address our problems at their core. The really good news is that we have the knowledge to solve problems. We only lack the will to do so.
